Gavisol KIDS Sachet: Each sachet contains Sodium Alginate BP 225 mg & Magnesium Alginate INN 87.50 mg.
Gavisol Kids works in the physical mode of action and does not enter into the systemic circulation.
Sodium Alginate & Magnesium Alginate reacts rapidly with gastric acid to form a thickening gel, one that stabilizes the stomach contents and reduces gastric reflux & regurgitation.
Gastric reflux, Regurgitation & flatulence associated with gastric reflux.
Infants under 4.5 kg: one sachet should be used.
Infants over 4.5 kg: two sachets should be used.
Do not give more than six times in 24 hours.
Infants under one year of age should be used under medical supervision. Not suitable for children over 2 years of age.
Making Procedure:
Formula feed infant: Mix each sachet into 115 ml of milk feed in the bottle, Shake well & Feed as normal.
Breast fed infant: Mix each sachet with 5 ml (1 teaspoon) of cooled, boiled water until a smooth paste is formed. Add another 10 ml (2 teaspoons) of cooled boiled water and mix.
Significant or sustained changes in bowel habit or stool consistency e.g., diarrhoea or constipation. Follow dosage instructions exactly to avoid an excessive amount of product per feed and the possible risk of hypernatremia. Not to be used when treating infants with known or suspected impairment of renal function as the sodium content (approximately 23.9 mg or 1.04 mmol per dose) may add to the risk of hypernatremia. Hypernatremia should be treated with oral fluids and monitoring of the infant's electrolytes.
Intestinal obstructions, sickness, loss of appetite, tired or weakness.
Not Applicable.
Do not use Sodium Alginate & Magnesium Alginate with other feed thickening agents or infant milk preparations containing a thickening agent.
Too much Sodium Alginate & Magnesium Alginate, child may suffer from intestinal obstructions, be sick, lose their appetite, become weak. If accidentally give too much Sodium Alginate & Magnesium Alginate ask the doctor or other healthcare professional for advice immediately.
Store below 300 C temperatures, away from light & moisture. Keep out of the reach of children.
